FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that navigating the repair process can be overwhelming. Here, we address some common questions to help you feel more informed and confident during your visit to Dacus Auto Body & Collision Repair.
Do you charge for estimates and do I need an appointment?
Damage assessments are always free! While many people refer to them as estimates, we prefer the term “damage assessment” because it better reflects the detailed process we use to evaluate your vehicle’s condition.
You don’t need an appointment to stop by for a damage assessment—but scheduling one in advance is appreciated. We're often available for walk-ins, so feel free to visit if you’re in the area.
You can also call us at (620) 241-6054 or schedule an in-person appointment at your convenience. We're here to make the process as easy and accurate as possible!
I received multiple estimates. Why are they all different prices?
Estimate pricing can vary a lot. Price differences can be due to the quality of parts, differences in labor times and differences in repair procedures being quoted. If you have received more than one estimate, we would be happy to review them and explain what you are getting with each. Lower priced estimates might have left out necessary repairs, parts or quality. Remember to ask questions about your estimates to ensure you understand what you are paying for (or not paying for).
Do you work with insurance?
Yes! Dacus Auto Body & Collision Repair works with all insurance companies to make the repair process as easy as possible for you. While we don’t have exclusive partnerships with any specific insurance provider, we focus on what's best for you, ensuring your vehicle is repaired to the highest standards using top-quality parts and procedures.
Can I choose my repair shop, even if my insurance recommends a different one?
Yes, absolutely—you have the right to choose your repair shop.
At Dacus Auto Body & Collision Repair, we want you to feel confident in your decision. While some insurance companies may recommend certain repair facilities, you are not required to use them. Legally, the choice of where your vehicle is repaired is entirely up to you.
We’re here to support you every step of the way. Our team will work directly with your insurance provider and guide you through the claims process to ensure your vehicle is repaired properly and returned to you safely.
What is the difference between OEM and Aftermarket parts?
OEM parts are made by the same company that produced the original parts for your vehicle, ensuring a perfect fit, function, and safety. Choosing OEM parts helps maintain your vehicle’s performance and crashworthiness.
Aftermarket parts are third-party alternatives designed to fit multiple models. For repairs, OEM parts preserve your vehicle’s integrity and meet the manufacturer’s safety standards.
What vehicles are you OEM certified for?
We are proudly OEM Certified for Ford, Toyota, Jeep, GMC, Lincoln, Buick, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, Cadillac, Chevy, Chrysler, Rivian, Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis.
Do you have rental vehicles available?
We do! We have several vehicles available to our customers for a small daily fee. To ensure we have one available for you, please let us know if you would like one when you are booking your repairs.
